Workshops, events, our weekly podcast, and online resources. This is where eldest daughters come to heal, grow, and connect.
Our workshop series is designed to support eldest daughters in moving beyond survival mode and into a life rooted in healing, confidence, and personal growth. While many eldest daughters are taught to prioritise everyone else, this series creates space for you to invest in yourself.
Through expert-led workshops, you will explore topics including:
Got something to get off your chest?
We know the role of the eldest daughter runs deep, shaping our lives in ways that are often invisible or unspoken. That is why we created Eldest Daughter Confessions: a space to share your truth, lift the stigma, and connect through shared experiences.
Whether it is funny, wild, or deeply personal, your confession is welcome. Everything is completely anonymous and shared with care across our platforms to help others feel seen and less alone.
Every week, we dive into topics that reflect the unique challenges of being an eldest daughter: those of us who had to grow up too soon and take on caregiving roles for those around us.
We explore subjects like parentification, financial abuse, moving out, dating, and mental health. If you would like to share your eldest daughter story on our podcast, you can book a recording session.
Launched in 2023, Eldest Daughter Day is an international day of recognition and appreciation for eldest daughters, the often-unsung heroes of their families and communities.
Created in collaboration between Home Girls Unite and Eldest Daughter Club, this day shines a spotlight on the emotional labour, responsibility, and care eldest daughters give, often without being asked or acknowledged.
For one day, we ask the world to prioritise the needs of eldest daughters, because in most families, they are expected to prioritise everyone else, even when they cannot or should not have to.
Eldest Daughter Day is a reminder that you are allowed to put yourself first. We encourage eldest daughters to celebrate by doing something just for themselves, guilt-free, especially that one thing they have been putting off all year. And we encourage everyone else to honour and celebrate the eldest daughters in their lives.
Our in-person events are designed to give eldest and parentified daughters a much-needed break from their everyday responsibilities, even if just for a few hours. These gatherings create space for connection, creativity, and joy through activities like painting, knitting, fencing, and running.
Each event offers a chance to rest, recharge, and build community with other eldest daughters who understand the weight of always having to hold it all together.
Whether it is through movement, art, or laughter, our events are gentle reminders that you deserve time for yourself too.
We’ve created a dedicated space to support eldest daughters on their moving-out journey, making the process less overwhelming and more empowering.
Our online Moving Out community connects eldest daughters in London who are planning to move or looking for housemates. If that’s you, come join us!
Finding the right therapist isn’t always easy, and for many eldest daughters, it can make all the difference.
We’re currently curating a directory of mental health professionals who understand the unique needs of eldest daughters, especially those navigating cultural, religious, and familial expectations.
This includes therapists who are eldest daughters themselves, bringing lived experience and intersectional insight. No need to explain, they already get it.
We plan to publish the full directory in September 2025. In the meantime, if you’re looking for a therapist, feel free to reach out, we’ll do our best to connect you with someone who understands your needs.
Being the eldest daughter comes with a lot of feelings that we may not necessarily know how to unpack. Sometimes we just need someone to talk to, express ourselves and be heard.
These ranting sessions are a space to speak one-on-one with fellow a eldest daughter, free of judgement, to express your feelings, get general advice, or have someone to have a conversation with.
If you need more than 30mins, please book more than one slot.
This is a peer support group session for the eldest daughters, by eldest daughter. It is a space where we can come together and support one another online, a space free from judgement and shame.
A space with people who just get it, no questions asked. Each month, we will come together and talk about anything related to the eldest daughter role, from setting boundaries, tips on how to say no, moving out, make friends, or just catch up on life.
Our monthly support group sessions take place on the last Friday of each month and are open to all eldest daughters.
